Latte Art: ist origins and success.

The first decorations on cappuccino were made in the eighties. However, it was thanks to Luigi Lupi– barman and certified bartender trainer – that Latte Art became popular and was included in the S.C.A. (Specialty Coffee Association) contest circuit.

Nowadays, it is seen as a new and funny way to serve cappuccino. An additional trump card for the barista to win his/her clients, but also to express him/herself from an artistic point of view. There are a lot of contests, championship and events related to it. However, at the end of the day the real judges are the end consumers, who will certainly feel that they are particularly taken care of: they order a simple cappuccino and get an art work. There must be a reason why posting, sharing and commenting Latte Art videos throughout the web has almost become a mania all over the world (there are about a million videos on YouTube). Moak extended this art also to children by offering Latte Art junior courses.
