Those who design have the task of creating a product with precise function and identity. For[me]moak also follows the inverse process: revealing multiple uses of an already existing item. There is a close relationship between items and contexts: a use can change depending on the location or circumstance one puts the item in, making it versatile. Our grandmothers did it when they kept the boxes and turned them into button holders, once the biscuits finished. So why not think how a small plastic cup or sugar sachet held in the moak pad kit can turn into something else? No more utensils and scales, but a new measuring form. The same cup you drank your coffee from as well as the sugar sachet can be also used to dose right amounts of ingredients, in order to prepare excellent desserts. Thus, a new pod’s kit designed and created by for[me]moak is born. The pack changes role and suggests three recipes identifiable by three different colours of the packages. Each kit includes 60 plastic cups, 60 sugar sachets and 60 stirrers.

Designed for the pads line, the new moak pod’s kit arises from the idea for[me]moak has in thinking about items and how an item can assume new using forms and unsuspected function when the context changes – from the bar to home and vice versa.

MOAK PINS

The first expression for of men was images. Albeit belonging to the prehistoric period, this synthetic and universally comprehensible communication method is still effective after millennia. And if the power of images lies in the fact that their message arrives before words, why not use it to tell something about ourselves or about others? The good –looking, the beast, the vamp and the mother-in-law. These are some of the characters captured by for[me]moak for the ad campaign “moak generaction” and turned into moak pin icons, the new black and white pin buttons, where everyone can identify oneself or recognize a friend or employer. Ten different illustrated characters, three available sizes. One or various combinations to apply on a jacket lapel, shirt or bag. Iconic language is ironic and with immediate impact. The characters are depicted with strong features and a distinguishing style, reflecting some faces of our society with their contradictions and diversities, where the alternative shares a coffee with the conformist, the beauty with the beast, the vamp with the mother-in-law. A monochromic universe to spread some lightness and irony amongst colleagues, relatives and friends or simply to make a fashion accessory or apron look funny and cool. The reactions of those who will receive them or showy fabric or covers, on which the moak pins can be attached, will give them colour and harmony.
