Live My Music Coffee Coffee “performs live” from Milan to Naples

“Have you ever listened to coffee?”. That’s the question and, at the same time, the idea the project Caffè Moak introduces in cooperation with the Feltrinelli group. “My music coffee” is the successful attempt to put together music and coffee through the creation of a capsule and pad line referring to six music genres, and to which talent scout Paola Maugeri associated six different musicians. To get to know their unpublished works live, the company organized a series of live concerts in partnership with Feltrinelli within the bookshops of Milan, Rome and Naples, open to all Italy. Curtains went down after the three stages on September 30th, and the audience of the three Italian cities welcomed them with enthusiasm.

My music coffe. Live to Milan.

First stage of the tour was Milan. On September 21st, Piazza Piemonte’s Feltrinelli welcomed the live convert of the first two artists chosen by well-known Mtv face Paola Maugeri, who very well interpreted the two blends of the My Music Coffee line: swing and soul. The first one was assigned to “Woody Gipsy”, the band born in 2011 boasting fourteen concerts throughout Italy and two singles on an international scale: “Wood Evening” (2012) and “Live in London”(2013). After the energetic swing exhibition, the stage was entrusted to the warm soul voice of Marella Motta, artist that inaugurated the concert of Tiziano Ferro next to her loyal master Paul Rosette, and who is currently working on her second record “In My Solitude”. The swing and soul notes livened up the audience attending the tasting of the two blends, who was carried away in the universe of the five senses.

“Soul is pure emotion flying free, away from any method and obligation. That’s why I chose the warm voice of Marella Motta. Swing is the carefreeness needed to light- en the commitment to live happy. That’s why I chose the empathic cheerfulness of the Wood y Gipsy Band”. (P. Maugeri)

My Music Coffee. Live to Rome.

The second stage in the capital was captivating and intense. In the Roman Feltrinelli store of Via Appia Nuova, the Jazz and Rock Coffee blends were protagonists on September 23rd, “listened to” through the voices of Chiara Izzi and the duo Ilaria Graziano and Francesco Forni. Chiara Izzi played first and lavished each atom of pure music and aroma with her voice. The talented jazz singer cooperated with artists of the likes of Roberto Gatto, Maurizio Gianmarco and Massimo Manzi in her career, and debuted with her album “Motifs” in 2013. The evening finished with an overwhelming and strong rhythm with rock singers Ilaria Graziano and Francesco Forni. They received many rewards during their work experience, cooperating even with the Rai network and the world of cinema. The careful audience delighted its palate with two blends of the serving line, and musical notes of the live performed pieces guided everyone’s senses.

“Rock is music where you write the uniqueness of each artist and those who listen to him. That’s why I chose the great duo Graziano e Francesco Forni. Jazz, instead, is joy of life including some brush strokes of melancholy, but never sadness. This is why I chose the powerful vocality of Chiara Izzi”. (P. Maugeri)

My Music Coffee. Live to Naples.

The tour of the live concerts of the six My Music Coffee bands ended at the feet of the imposing Vesuvius on September 30th. Protagonists of the live concerts in Naples were two artists that translated “funk coffee” and “classic coffee” capsules into notes. The funk blend was performed in masterly manner by Valentina Gnesutta alias Wena, of Neapolitan origin, who has been used to a strong relationship to the genre of funk since she was little and was noticed by Ghemon and Torreggae. While Pietro Dossena enhanced classic music and the aromatic notes of the decaf blend. He is composer and musician and studied in Italy, but brought his music to France, Spain and the US. Awarded in many composition contests, he writes for acoustic instruments as well as electronic devices for concert halls and cinema. Albeit with different leitmotifs, both artists fully understood the essence of the Moak project, impregnating the ambience with charm and splendour.

Funk is a gust of pacific rebellion. A genre of music that tears down any geographical and stylish boundaries. This is why I chose the power and determination of Wena. To me, classic music is a trip through the world of living beings and nature of all ages. Even the ones we don’t know. That’s why I chose the emotional intensity of Pietro Dossena”. (P. Maugeri)
