The prize-giving ceremony to announce winners of the 2018 edition will be held on October 27th.
Caffè Letterario Moak starts up again with women: three of the five final works are written by ladies. The panel of judges presided over by Piero Dorfles just proclaimed the chosen unreleased works that will take part in the final. The prize-giving ceremony will be held on October 27th in Modica.

Armando Bonato Casolaro – FEELING (Storia d’amore e di caffè)
(History about love and coffee)
Born in Milan in 1946, living in Asolo (Treviso). Author and novelist; worked for several years as consultant in the fashion sector and as proofreader for the daily newspaper “La Voce”.
Among his books: “Viaggio con Jahan” (Bonaccorso Ed., 2008), “Tre chicchi di caffè” (Aurelia Ed., 2010 e 2014), “La giacca mimetica” (Aurelia Ed., 2013), “Histoires Extraordinaires” (Aurelia Ed., 2014), “Una vita un incontro” (Aurelia Ed., 2015). Winner of two literary awards, ranked first at the International Albero Andronico contest of Rome Campidoglio.
Costanza Frola – Maria Antonia: la Morte e la tazzina di caffè
(Maria Antonia: The Death and the coffee cup)
Born in Turin in 1985, where she attended a scientific high school and then a Theatre Arts Academy, which lead her to her biggest passion: Commedia dell’Arte. After graduating, she started to work for the theatre company Santi Briganti. Afterwards, she founded her own company. Moreover, she also commits herself to trainings, offering theatre courses and workshops in schools. Her favourite motto: “Mistakes are friends, judgements are enemies”. She likes reading, cooking, swimming and acrobatic yoga.
Renzo Brollo – Il sacro rito di Zito Caffè (The sacred ritual of Zito Caffè)
Born in 1971 in Gemona del Fiuli, province of Udine, where he lives with his wife and two daughters. Since 2009, he’s been part of the editorial team at Mangialibri, with the task of reading, devouring and reviewing a huge number of books. Author of several novels, including “La fuga selvaggia” (Edizioni per la Sera, 2016) and “La montagna storta” (Bottega Errante, 2017). In 2009, he won the “Lama e trama” contest. In 2016, he ranked second at the Leggimontagna contest and, in 2017, he won the first prize of the literary contest La Quara.
Sara Formisano – Caffè Americano (American Coffee)
She’s always been passionate about literature and expresses her inner feelings with writing. Her stories are often taken by what she used to see every day on her way to work by train or by her friends’ experiences. Graduated in Cinematography with specialization in Performing Arts and Multimedia Production, M.A. in Cinema and Television with focus on screenwriting. She dealt with script concepts for Teatri Uniti as well as film scouting for Imago Company. Her greatest wish: publishing her first novel.
Silvia Faini – Cafè sucré
Mother of two and grandmother of four, she used to work as a teacher, translator and schoolbook editor. Currently cooperating with a magazine for teachers. In the last twenty years or so, she’s been dedicating herself to writing, weaving stories for children and adults, participating in literary contests and publishing collections of short stories or short novels. In her free time, she likes to read, walk in the mountains, take pictures and prepare jams.
The five final stories will be published in the collection Gli Assaggi by Caffè Moak.
